The PMYC

The Porto Montenegro Yacht Club was pleased to recently host the inaugural Arsenal Cup Regatta. Taking place on July 16th, the regatta is named after the former Arsenal site of Porto Montenegro and took place in conjunction with the opening of the Naval Heritage Collection, displaying artefacts and materials from the area's rich naval history.

Featuring 15 boats, ranging from the very small to competition sports boat, the regatta enjoyed perfect winds through the Verige Channel and around the Perast Islands. The regatta is just one of many that the PMYC will be offering throughout the year, along with many other events such as Curry Nights, Spanish evenings and BBQs. The PMYC will also be launching a selection of newly finished Wherry’s on August 5th, designed and built by the crews and employees of Porto Montenegro. These boats will join the other rowing boats and kayaks already available for use through the club.

Naval Heritage Collection

Porto Montenegro is pleased to launch “Naval Heritage Collection" representing a special homage to this region’s glorious and intriguing maritime history.

Museum Collection is located in an old Austro-Hungarian sawmill, the authentic building constructed at the beginning of the last century, which has been preserved and reconstructed for the needs of the museum collection. The artifacts will authentically depict working conditions, working environment, machines from various development periods of over 120 years of existence of former naval base “Arsenal”, nautical maps, project designs, models of submarines and machines, as well as people who contributed by their work and innovation to the glorious history of the former industrial giant.
