The ancient city of Kotor is one of the best preserved in the region, hiding behind 4km of formidable city walls that are illuminated by night to create the striking outline of a lion’s head.
Once home to a majestic Venetian fleet of 1,000 ships, Perast is an impeccably preserved hamlet and the last place on earth to fly the flag of the Venetian Republic. Today it is a largely pedestrianized jewel in the ‘Boka' Bay’s crown and an ideal lunch spot.
No visit to the Bay is complete without stopping at the iconic Our Lady of the Rocks, a small man-made islet holding aloft a beautiful 17th Century church. Located just in front of Perast, the tiny museum here contains an assortment of stone monuments, frescos, and relics.
