Adriatic Marinas D.O.O. has won the ISKRA Fund for Active Citizenship award for its support to local community development.
PR Manager of Porto Montenegro, Danilo Kalezic, gratefully received the award at a presentation ceremony earlier this month, held at the Royal Theatre Zetski Dom in Cetinje.
ISKRA was founded around the individuals, companies, immigrant associations, and civil society organizations who provide effective support to the non-profit actions of social interest and public welfare. Fund for Active Citizenship works in partnership with the Chamber of Montenegro, Ministry for Sustainable Development and Tourism, and with the Directorate of Diaspora.
The award is the only one of its kind in Montenegro, and has become a traditional annual event to highlight those who are making outstanding contributions to social welfare in the country.
‘It is an additional incentive for us to intensify our cooperation with the local community, as well as institutions from all over the Boka Bay. It represents a symbolic end to a very successful year, celebrating our involvement in more than thirty CSR activities and projects. Our cooperation with numerous institutions, including the Parent Council, local associations, and non-governmental organizations will continue throughout the next year and beyond,’ said Kalezic.
Since the start of Porto Montenegro’s construction, Adriatic Marinas has donated more than 2m euro of donations, scholarships, sponsorships, and projects to support the local community of Tivat. This year, numerous IT, sports equipment, technical and office equipment, has been donated to the town’s educational, cultural, sports and health organisations. Support has also been given in cooperation with non-governmental organizations, amounting to over 50,000 euro.
