Senior Accountant 

Required for the Finance & Accounts Department at Porto Montenegro to:

  • Support Accounts Manager
  • Booking of transactions (bank statements, incoming and outgoing invoices, accruals, fixed asset register)
  • Day to day financial administration
  • Preparation and follow up of monthly and annual reports on management or institutional requests
  • Major cross checks for accounting pre-closing
  • Follow up on construction contracts and capitalisation
  • Preparation of VAT report
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements

Essential skills required:

  • University Degree in Economics/Business
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and/or audit
  • Knowledge of Sun system and/or other accounting IT systems
  • Advance skills in MS Office, especially in Excel 
  • Fluency in English
  • Results oriented thinking, strong communication skills
  • Attention to structure and detail
  • Strong team player
  • Able to perform under pressure

Accounts Manager
 
The Finance & Accounts department is looking for a new Accounts Manager to:

  • Support the Senior Finance Manager
  • Manage and develop a team of accountants
  • Produce financial statements (IFRS)
  • Prepare monthly budget reporting
  • Manage all Tax inspections
  • Maintain all internal controls
  • Booking of transactions
  • Prepare all statutory financial statements and consolidations
  • Complete VAT and Income Tax returns
Essential skills required:
  • University Degree in Economics
  • Certified Accountant licence is an advantage but not essential
  • Fluency in Montenegrin and English  
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Sun system and/or other accounting IT systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Minimum 5 years experience as an Accounts Manager in the Balkans
  • Experience of working in a large organisation (150+ employees)
  • Strong team player
