Porto Montenegro celebrates 'World Car Free Day'

Adriatic Marinas – Porto Montenegro, in collaboration with the Municipality of Tivat, the Secretariat for Housing-Communal Services and Transportation as well as the Office for the Prevention of Addictions and Youth Affairs, will mark World Car Free Day on September 22nd .

On the occasion of this important date in the ecology calendar, painting workshop for students from Tivat will be organized with the jury selecting the best work inspired by this theme. During the day the importance of using bicycles, bicycle paths and Tivat's increasingly popular “bike sharing" system will be promoted to the public.

Adriatic Marinas – Porto Montenegro will provide gifts for the best student paintings inspired by Car Free Day and generally support cycling and healthy lifestyle throughout the year. Cycle stands are located at strategic points around the marina village and the AM/PM store has a total of 10 bikes for rent for adults and children, either for a few hours or a whole day.

Car Free Day is an international day for cyclists, rollerbladers, scooter users and all those who use non-polluting forms of transport.
