On Saturday August 4th and Sunday August 5th, Porto Montenegro Village hosted its second Shopping Weekend of 2012. Visitors enjoyed discounts, special offers, entertainment, events and in-store cocktails over the two days.
One of the highlights was the summer party hosted by Zoe & Morgan, a UK-based luxury jewelry store with a rock’n’roll edge. Visitors were introduced to their latest collections and met one of the company founders Ruth Sibbald.
That was followed by the Supermarket concept store fashion event presenting nine upcoming Montenegrin designers: Natasa Pejovic, Lazar Ilic, Ivana Murisic, Milena Djurdjic, Marta Miljanic, Andrea Ilincic, Boris Calic, Anastasia Miranovic and Sanja Matijevic. This unusual fashion performance was held on the promenade in front of the store, where spectators enjoyed frozen margaritas and lively music.
An hour later, Vesna Dedic, a famous Serbian author, presented her new novel, “Ti si meni sve" in front of Pura Vida spa. Singer Nina Petkovic also made a special guest appearance to perform a number of ballads inspired by Dedic’s novel.
On Sunday evening children’s store Noé & Zoë in Ozana building held an entertainment program for children, with music, a clown, balloons and refreshments.
Carolina Bucci, the famous Italian jewelry designer, held a champagne reception at her store while Marija Bozivic, a local jazz musician, entertained the public on Venice Square with a performance of popular jazz compositions. Three jewelry and accessories stores – Mawi, Zoe & Morgan and Saddlers Union – then showcased their latest collections with in-store cocktails for all customers.
Shortly afterwards, fashion lovers were able to enjoy their own exclusive events with cocktails and local models wearing signature pieces of the summer from Mungos (Emporio Armani, Love Moschino, Tru Trussardi), Wolf & Badger, Anamar, Samms (MaxMara, Paul & Shark and Ermenegildo Zegna), Heidi Klein, Chucs, MOOI (Celine, Dsquared, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent) and Italia Independent.
Finally, Andy Warhol’s exhibition “15 Minutes of Glory" was on show at the Pizana Gallery in the Village throughout the weekend.
