Tax & duty-free fuel

As of January 2025, Montenegro has reinstated duty-free fuel for foreign private and commercial yachts, further strengthening its status as a premier yachting destination in the Mediterranean.

This reintroduction brings significant cost savings, while Porto Montenegro continues to set the standard in seamless refuelling, offering high-speed fuel delivery, expert support, and world-class service for vessels of all sizes.

Ordering fuel

Requests for yacht bunkering should be sent by email to bunkering@portomontenegro.com at least 72 hours in advance (and by Thursday for deliveries required on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday).

To qualify for duty-free fuel, yachts must remain in Montenegro for a minimum of 72 hours after arrival, and an Agent is required to facilitate all transactions (this does not apply to duty-paid fuel). Orders will be confirmed, subject to availability.

Working hours

High season:
1 May to 30 September

08:00 to sunset, daily (overnight service available on request).

Low season:
1 October to 30 April

08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
