Expansion of our marina village has continued at pace over recent months, bringing more berths, a new residential building named Ksenija, a Regent Hotel & Residences, two new restaurants and a nightclub at the Lido pool complex, various new retail tenants and even two cricket nets - a first for Montenegro! Mead Carney / "The shock of the new"
London’s Mead Carney Gallery opened their inaugural presentation at Porto Montenegro in July, with an exhibition of contemporary art from 1990 to the present entitled ‘The Shock of the New’. The title references the seminal book of the same name by legendary art critic Robert Hughes.
Captain interview / James Carlyle
Captain of privately owned 25m Princess Fly 82 new build, James Carlyle arrived in Porto Montenegro back in October 2013 and will be based in the marina for the next 12 months. We met him to talk about the benefits of berthing in Porto Montenegro and what he’s been doing to make the most of his time in beautiful Montenegro.
Uplifting the community
As part of Porto Montenegro’s Community Team Works initiative, launched earlier this year, 20 employees contributed a day of their time to participate in one of our many community outreach projects. On international ‘Plant a Flower Day’, employees joined forces with Tivat Municipality’s Green Team to renovate one of the city’s public parks.
