Dating to the 13th century, Buca palace (Palata Buća) is one Kotor’s oldest and most imposing buildings, and was home to the aristocratic Buća family, prominent local merchants and bankers, for more than 500 years. Damaged over the centuries by a series of earthquakes, large scale restoration in 1979 saw this impressive residence, with its three imposing wings built over several centuries, restored to its former glory.
