Adriatic Marinas – Porto Montenegro, has won an award from the Union of Employers of Montenegro for its socially responsible business actions. This prestigious accolade is in recognition of ongoing dedication to the community, especially for the Uplifting the Community project, the first of its kind in Montenegro.
This award was presented to Porto Montenegro’s CEO Oliver Corlette at a special awards ceremony. Company employees receive a paid day off to devote themselves to a project of their choice. They can take part in one of several activities organised by various institutions in Tivat. Projects are meticulously planned, and as a result, they are well executed and successful. Each one is long-term and sustainable, and will continue into 2015.
Adriatic Marinas are a valued part of the local community, and this award demonstrates excellent corporate social responsibility (CSR). In just six months, more than 120 volunteers have donated their generous time, along with a company investment of over 45, 000 euros. The volunteers have helped refurbish a small city park in the centre of Tivat, remove graffiti from the Arsenal football stadium, renovation of the town’s football stadium, a blood drive, and the renovation of basketball and football fields in the town’s park.
Future projects include the renovation of schoolyards, arranging an open summer stage in Donja Lastva, renovation of the town’s park on the main square and many other community activities.
