Musings from the Marina - July Edition

Summer’s hustle and bustle has arrived at Porto Montenegro’s marina, with some of the world’s most fascinating boats now calling our harbour home.

A lot has happened in the past few weeks, and a lot is set to happen in the coming months. Here are some highlights…

New Clean Marina Accreditation

Porto Montenegro has become the first marina in Europe to receive Clean Marina accreditation from The Yacht Harbor Association. This accreditation is designed to help marinas ensure their operations do not pollute coastal and inland waters.

This award is recognition of our team and tenants’ work in promoting sustainability across our marina. It’s an important step in our sustainability ‘journey’, and one we’re incredibly proud of.

A New Floating Dock

A floating dock is essential for superyacht overhaul and maintenance, and we’re delighted to have obtained one for Adriatic 42.

This is a momentous day for both the Bay of Kotor and the entire country of Montenegro. Captain Rado Antolović, PhD (Chairman of Adriatic 42) explains…

“It is a facility that will certainly transform Montenegro’s position on the global yachting map. It is a million-dollar new generation 180-by-37-metre floating dock with a 10,000-ton lift capacity that can accommodate the world’s largest yachts.”
